Jun Yan put the pile of books into his Qiankun Pouch. After Song Yi shared his experience of raising disciples, he went back to his cave. As soon as he got back, he saw the little boy and Ye Chen staring at each other.
“Just a little,” Ye Chen said seriously.
“No.” The little boy resolutely refused.
“Really, only a little is enough.”
“No can do.”
“What are both of you arguing for?” Jun Yan came in. His white clothes shone brightly in the snow and ice in the cave.
Damn.
Ye Chen stared at Jun Yan’s face. Her eyes narrowed but she refused to avert her gaze. Her eyes felt very painful, though. She was blinded by the light.
However, for such a beautiful person, even if she went blind, she would still insist on seeing him!
Jun Yan looked at her persistent eyes and walked up to her. He inspected the girl in front of him and frowned.
Song Yi said that if a child stared at you very seriously, they must have something they wanted to say. So, he slowly said, “What do you want?”
“Ah?” Ye Chen tilted her head. Then, she realized Jun Yan was asking her to say what she wanted. She tried her best to hold herself back from saying “I want you.” She internally slapped herself and said, “I want to eat!”
“Food has a turbid atmosphere. For a cultivator who seeks the truth like us, you should try to get accustomed to Bigu[1].instead.”
Jun Yan carefully explained, Ye Chen was pouting while listening to him.
Beauty and delicious food were her driving force. Although Jun Yan was handsome, she couldn’t rely only on his beauty to live!
She stressed, “I’m still young. I need to eat a lot. If I don’t eat, I won’t grow tall!”
Jun Yan frowned. He wanted to educate Ye Chen, but when he saw her wronged little face, for a moment, he couldn’t help thinking… Was he too cruel?
He wasn’t a person that will bend for others. But, with Ye Chen, he had a sense of familiarity from the moment he lay his eyes on her. Especially when she got so serious about food like this. He felt that she indeed should have this kind of temperament. It made him want to spoil her rotten.
His reason told him that he shouldn’t indulge her. A Sword Cultivator should cultivate towards unfolding the mystery of the world and avoid worldly desire, but he couldn’t say it in front of a tearful Ye Chen.
Jun Yan raised his head, “Go cook.”
“Ah?” The little boy was startled, “Daojun[2], I can’t…”
“Learn.” Jun Yan cut him. To Ye Chen, he said, “You eat the Bigu Pill first. I’ll teach you the basic knowledge. You can eat again later after Shisan is done cooking.”
“Thank you, Shifu!” After winning her food, Ye Chen followed Jun Yan into the cave.
After entering, Jun Yan asked her to sit cross-legged and then taught her the acupoints[3] and meridians[4] on her body.
Ye Chen managed to remember it only after spending the whole day. At the same time, she heard the little boy, Jun Shisan, call them out for dinner.
Ye Chen wasted no time going out. She was speechless when she saw a pile of dark things on the table. She looked at Jun Shisan, his face was not good, “Eat.”
“Are you taking revenge on me?” Ye Chen pointed to the dark dishes. Jun Shisan’s face was ugly. Ye Chen nodded to herself, “You are indeed taking revenge on me.”
“Some of them are safe to eat!” Jun Shisan roared, “Also, you are the one who asked for food!”
Hearing this, Ye Chen pursed her lips and almost cried, “Forget it. If you can’t do it, I’ll do it myself!”
With that, Ye Chen put down her chopsticks and went to the kitchen.
Jun Yan observed the little girl run all the way to the kitchen. He mused about it and choose to follow her behind.
He stood at the door and watched Ye Chen try to make a fire. She looked like she really wanted to cook. He was a little distressed.
Ye Chen was too short. She had to climb a stool to touch the pot. Jun Yan sighed, “I’ll do it.”
He took the kitchen knife from Ye Chen’s hand. He waved his hand and the fire rose automatically.
“Go out and play.” Jun Yan dismissed her so she wouldn’t disturb him.
Ye Chen went out obediently. She took a peek back and saw Jun Yan standing in the kitchen, lifting his sleeves and starting to cut vegetables.
His expression was focused and serious. His cold face was much warmer because of these actions. The appearance of him standing in the kitchen cutting vegetables made her subconsciously think of another person.
Her heart was a little lost. It was as if the one standing in the kitchen, quietly cutting vegetables, was the 16-year-old Gu Jianan
Jun Yan was done cutting the vegetables and asked her, “Do you like sweet and sour ribs?”
This was Ye Chen’s favorite dish. Gu Jianan had cooked it for her countless times before. So she nodded, “I like it.”
Jun Yan hummed. He didn’t know why he asked that. His feeling keep telling him that this person would enjoy eating sweet and sour ribs.
“System,” Ye Chen couldn’t help sighing, “You say, don’t you think that the villains are too similar to each other?”
“Mn?” 38 was taken aback. After a long time, he said in a profound tone, “Maybe.”
