The Female Lead and the Male Lead Swapped Bodies (7)
With Liu Zhenzhen around, Ye Wei became the least happy person. Her hostility skyrocketed as ‘Liu Zhenzhen’ was caring about Shen Ran’s well-being and she drove her away without further ado.
She appeared as if she was facing a formidable enemy and Chen Hao sneered from her side. He threw some sarcastic comments as he watched, “She wants to see Shen Ran, not you. Even Shen Ran doesn’t drive her away. Who are you and what qualifications do you have to drive her away?”
Ye Wei refused to see reasons, “I don’t care. I won’t allow Liu Zhenzhen to visit Shen Ran!”
Chen Hao snorted and lifted his chin towards Liu Zhenzhen, “Let’s go, I’ll take you in.”
‘Liu Zhenzhen’ glanced at Ye Wei and then at Chen Hao: “?”
Chen Hao: “Why are you standing there in a daze? Aren’t you here for Shen Ran?”
Ye Wei jumped to her feet in anger before Liu Zhenzhen could reply, “You, don’t stand in my way. Don’t you dare go inside, I won’t allow her to see Shen Ran!”
What was wrong with Chen Hao! She’s setting obstacles for the protagonists so the Male Lead would notice how much the Female Lead had suffered in order to see him. What role could Chen Hao play here!
But, then again, it seemed that there was nothing wrong with Chen Hao being here? All in all, he was the Supporting Male. It’s only appropriate that he cherished and protected the Female Lead.
In an instant, Ye Wei felt she understood Chen Hao. They both had roles to perform.
Chen Hao was startled by the sudden understanding in Ye Wei’s eyes. When he blinked his eyes, he only saw Ye Wei’s arrogant and domineering appearance again, as if the understanding look had been his hallucination.
Chen Hao felt a twinge of annoyance decided to treat Ye Wei as air. He pulled Liu Zhenzhen without sparing Ye Wei another glance and led her to the wards.
Shen Ran as Liu Zhenzhen: “……”
He rolled his eyes and pulled his hand out of Chen Hao’s grip with a hard tug. “No need, Why should I need your help if I want to see Shen Ran?”
Chen Hao: …What? A dog that bites a feeding hand?[1]
Ye Wei sent Chen Hao a sympathetic glance. Look, this is how the Supporting Male lives.
“I don’t need your permission either.” Liu Zhenzhen opened her mouth, “Oi, Shen Ran. I’m at the door.”
Ye Wei: “……???”
Chen Hao: “……”
It took a while for ‘Shen Ran’ to make an effort to actually get out of bed and come out. Faced with Liu Zhenzhen’s bossy attitude, he was neither angry nor pissed. His expression was the perfect balance of calmness and helplessness: “I told you it’s fine. No cracked bones, don’t worry…” Halfway through the conversation, he saw two people standing behind ‘Liu Zhenzhen’, one Ye Wei and one Chen Hao.
Chen Hao met his gaze with a poker face.
Ye Wei was still grinding her teeth in anger, but the moment “Shen Ran” moved his gaze to her, her expression transformed to a simple and innocent expression. She approached him with great concern and said, “Shen Ran, why did you get out of bed? Even if your injury is not serious, it still hurts, isn’t it? You need to stay in bed and rest well.”
Liu Zhenzhen had become accustomed to Ye Wei’s “meek” and “affectionate” expressions, and could handle them easily. She said lightly, “It’s alright.”
Ye Wei denied, “How can it be ‘alright’? Go in and lie down. You can talk about this matter at a later time. The important thing right now is to rest.”
Liu Zhenzhen, as Shen Ran, was supported back to bed by Ye Wei. Meanwhile, the real Shen Ran stood at the door with his arms crossed, clenching his teeth as he watched. He snorted internally, Ye Wei, this two-faced person, is really good at acting.
Heh. Don’t think that he will be moved just by this. He has already seen her true face, there’s no way she can fool him!
But, honestly speaking, watching Ye Wei being affectionate to “himself” gave him a bit of a subtle feeling.
Chen Hao was in no better condition. He initially wanted to leave, after all, out of sight; out of mind. As far as he could remember, since childhood, Ye Wei was always an arrogant princess, her little lady temper always went up and down whenever she was with him, only in front Shen Ran— only in front Shen Ran, Ye Wei would temper herself into a warm and gentle eldest lady.
—She would please him and try anything that he liked; she was willing to do anything in order to win even a bit of his affection.
Ye Wei’s artificial appearance was a prick to his eyes. It made him so uncomfortable that he felt he was about to retch his previous meal.
“Ugh—” Thinking so, he really made a vomiting posture. Ye Wei almost right away sent a death glare on his way ‘don’t you dare ruin her chance!‘!
Chen Hao: Ha.

Ye Wei was truly attentive to Shen Ran. She watched as he lay down again and steadfastly poured him a glass of water, handing it from the bedside. “Shen Ran, are you thirsty? Here, water,”
Liu Zhenzhen looked at the cup and planned to coldly refuse as she was now Shen Ran. However, receiving Ye Wei’s caring eyes, the words that came out of her mouth changed, “Thank you, just leave it there.”
Ye Wei set the glass aside and asked if he was hungry. She would have someone bring some food over if he was. Sports consumed a lot of physical energy, after all.
Liu Zhenzhen then resolved to evict the people away, “I’m not hungry. You guys can leave, I will rest here for a while.”
Chen Hao examined “Shen Ran” with a frown upon hearing his words, he felt that something was amiss about the current him.
—Since when did Shen Ran speak so politely?
But soon he lost that scrutiny because Ye Wei started acting like a demon again.
Ye Wei twisted her head and started to chase people out, but because she was in front of Shen Ran, her tone could be considered extremely kind, “Shen Ran needs to rest, Liu Zhenzhen, Chen Hao, you guys go ahead.”
Chen Hao: …You really are quick to seize every opportunity available.
Shen Ran in Liu Zhenzhen’s body: ……
Shen Ran was fed up with Ye Wei’s deceit and turned to Liu Zhenzhen, “Shen Ran, I want to stay with you.”
Liu Zhenzhen: “……???”
She blankly stared at Shen Ran, the “what do you mean by saying that?” left unsaid.
Shen Ran smirked. He only blinked in response. He didn’t say anything, but the meaning in his eyes was obvious, “Just see what will happen if you dare to refuse.”
The corner of Liu Zhenzhen’s lips twitched, “Do as you like.”
Shen Ran smiled at Ye Wei, “See, Shen Ran lets me stay with him, so why don’t you guys go first?”
He assumed, with Ye Wei’s temper, she would certainly puff up in anger and couldn’t wait to beat her up to vent her anger. To his surprise, Ye Wei didn’t. Instead, she walked up to him with a soft smile, “Zhenzhen, don’t be capricious. Shen Ran is tired today, and he is also injured. He needs rest. You will disturb him if you stay. Let’s go back to class first, okay?”
Shen Ran: “………”
Shen Ran got goosebumps the very next second, even Liu Zhenzhen couldn’t believe her eyes.
When had Shen Ran as ‘Liu Zhenzhen’ seen a “gentle and considerate” Ye Wei? Describing this phenomenon as the sun rising from the west was not enough, it was simply scarier! He was almost startled out of his wits, his intuition telling him that Ye Wei had been possessed by a ghost, and he took a step back in a conditioned reflex!
Ye Wei was kinda puzzled and tilted her head, “What’s wrong?”
Shen Ran: …… What’s wrong, you ask? How about you take a look at yourself in the mirror and ask again? Heh. It’s a bit of a pity for you to not become an actor with that level of acting skill.
Even Chao Hao, who had just witnessed Ye Wei giving Liu Zhenzhen a hard time, couldn’t hold back the upturn of his lips, “With how friendly you are to her, seems like your relationship with Liu Zhenzhen is pretty good?”
Ye Wei knew it by heart that Chen Hao was mocking her. She sneakly glared at him, but still kept her smile, “Yes, we have been classmates for two years, how can our relationship be bad?” She was aware enough not to ask Liu Zhenzhen for confirmation. Otherwise, Shen Ran as Liu Zhenzhen would tear her facade apart and make it hard for her to continue the act.
Chen Hao: “Oh, so you are classmates for two years… I thought you were mortal enemies who had feuded for two years when we were outside.”
Ye Wei’s glare at Chen Hao became more apparent, but she still maintained her puzzled expression, “Ah? I don’t understand… How come you reach that assumption?”
Chen Hao: “Which part can’t you understand? Have you become a fool now?”
Ye Wei: “……” We are all colleagues, can’t you please be kinder? :)
Shen Ran increasingly felt that Ye Wei was too pretentious. Clearly she was shouting at him a second before, yet she changed her face the moment she saw “Shen Ran”? If it weren’t for him being Liu Zhenzhen at the moment, he would have been deceived by her!
He gave a signal to Liu Zhenzhen, hinting at her to get rid of Chen Hao and Ye Wei. He was now Liu Zhenzhen, and Liu Zhenzhen was a small and insignificant individual, his words wouldn’t matter at all.
Liu Zhenzhen naturally wanted her peace back, so she said as coldly as possible, “That’s ait. Go. I need to rest. Liu Zhenzhen, you stay.”
Ye Wei’s eyes went round at ‘Shen Ran’, then her gaze shifted to Liu Zhenzhen. In a corner where Shen Ran couldn’t see, she glared at Liu Zhenzhen, her eyes showing her animosity. Unfortunately, Shen Ran was watching, so not only she couldn’t get angry, she had to smile and agree to his words.
Shen Ran has been numbed by Ye Wei’s flip-flopping attitude. He turned a blind eye to Ye Wei’s gaze and increasingly felt that Ye Wei was overly hypocritical, too fake—— and he disliked such hypocritical people.
From childhood to adulthood, he had seen too many people currying favor around him. It was clear they didn’t like him and hated his lawlessness, but they pretentiously said they liked him and sang praises for him.
Ye Wei fell into the same category as them, she said she liked him to his face, but spit on him when she turned her back.
But, Shen Ran suddenly remembered the panic on Ye Wei’s face as she rushed to him on the basketball court. The tension and worry in her eyes that couldn’t be fake…..
Perhaps it was one of Ye Wei’s tricks? Did he just fall for her tricks and nearly got deceived?!
He shook his head to wake himself up.
Shen Ran issued orders to expel guests so Ye Wei reluctantly left the ward.
Such a great opportunity, the relationship between the Female Lead and Male Lead should improve by leaps and bounds!
Chen Hao casually walked behind Ye Wei, watching her puffed up appearance. It made him want to laugh a little. “Why didn’t I know you are so good at acting in front of Shen Ran?”
Ye Wei retorted, “What acting? I didn’t act.”
Chen Hao followed Ye Wei’s example and mimicked with affection, “Shen Ran, are you thirsty? Here, water!”
Ye Wei: “……”
Chen Hao: “Zhenzhen, don’t be capricious. Shen Ran is tired today, and he is also injured. He needs rest.”
Ye Wei: “……”
Chen Hao: “Ugh.”
Ye Wei: “………”
